Each student needs to decide the quality of tools they want to buy. There are high quality (more expensive) and economy (lower cost) tools, and you usually get what you pay for. When purchasing higher quality hand tools look for brand names such as: Bergeon, Dumont, Swanstrom, Lindstrom, Corradi, Grobet, and Peer-Vigor. Sears Craftsman brand is also good and guaranteed. Economy tools are usually made in China, Pakistan or India and the steel is soft. Use your own judgment or experience in selecting the exact tool you may need based on the description below. Jeweler's Lathe I & II Tool ListRecommended Student Tool list for Jeweler's Lathe I & II Please bring the below tools or supplies if you already have it or want to purchase for yourself for class. Most of the below items, most students already have purchased for the clock classes. If you don’t have some of the items don’t worry, we will have some to use in class.
