Chapter 124 Christmas Party

Hosted by Richard Cox and Wilma Cotheren

12/12/99

The 1999 Christmas party was a great success. Aproximately 60 people gathered at the home of Richard Cox with Wilma Cotheren's assistance. They talked Clocks, Beanie Babies and Old cars. Richards Mother, Sister and Brother handled the snacks and escorted the guests across the street to the Big Garage.

The Clocks were the main focus, but Wilma's Beanie Baby collection was not far behind. Everyone likes the Cute little Bears and Wilma has plenty. We had a lite sprinkle that fouled the car rides. Everyone wanted to ride around the block in the Rumble Seat of Richard 34' Ford. There were several convertibles that would have been out, except for the rain. Pam Tichler had a Corvette just like that one. She was ready for a ride even with the rain. " I had one just like that", " My Mon and Dad went on their Honey Moon in one like that", " My Mom use to drive us to church every Sunday in one like that" were comments heard from everyone. It is funny how the the Clock, Watch and Old Car hobbies tie us to our past. They bring memories of our Families, old friends and life's moments both good and bad. It also shows our age.

Thanks to Richard and Wilma for the wonderful hospitality! Everyone had a great time!
