Lathe Operation 101 and 201

Classes Held In Oklahoma City, OK 05/01/99 - 05/02/99


Phil Gregory and Russ Aikens gave these two courses at the request of Chapter 74 in Oklahoma City as a two day event. The arrangements were made by George Orr. Students in the class were (l-r): Tom Morrison, Chapter 74 President, Jim Marusa, Keith Teasley, Rose Michael, George Orr, and Buddy Butler.

Three of the lathes were furnished by Chapter 124. Students reviewed the principals of lathe operation, and disassembled their lathes for maintenance. Both carbide and steel gravers were made and a brass polishing wheel for verges as well as a steel hub for a grinding wheel were fabricated. In the time remaining, steel punches were made
