This class was taught by Phil Gregory and Karen Summerville who were students of Peggy Rogers in 1997. In the class photo from left-to-right, we have: Ron Hollien, Larry Grubb, Carolyn Hollien, Richard Rosse, Jim Summerville, Gary Mowery, Julia Kuhn and Bob Nicolaysen.
The class redid both vanilla dials with just chapter rings and numbers and other dials with painted flowers. The dials were all restores of dials that were flaking or damaged beyond use. The class taught repainting of base , adding chapter rings and numbers and painting of decorations. The next gold leafing class will include gold leafed dials. Dial painters are not identified in the photos below. |
