MICRO LATHE II CLASS
SEPTEMBER 21, 2002

This class was taught by Russ Aikins. There were six students in the class. In the class photo from left-to-right, we have: John Tope, Ronnie Hollien, Larry Grubb, Phil Rasch, Bob May, and David Barnes. Everyone had fun making pivot polishing holders, repairing a broken arbor, and making a die holder for their lathe tailstocks. Each project is designed to develop skills using the micro lathe (Sherline, Unimat, etc) and have handy tools upon completion.

Phil Rasch is making a cutting tool for his Unimat Lathe.
Larry Grubb makes a measurement while working on the die holder project.
John Tope is joining two pieces of drill rod to make an arbor on his Sherline.
David Barnes is making pivot holders for polishing pivots in the lathe.
Bob May is polishing his die holder that he made in the Sherline.
Ronnie Hollien is making a new arbor out of two pieces of drill rod.
